Forward 2 Freedom – Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of counselling and support services offered by Forward 2 Freedom. By engaging in services, you agree to the terms outlined below.
2. Services Provided
Forward 2 Freedom offers one-to-one counselling and specialist support, including (but not limited to):

General counselling (e.g. anxiety, grief, relationships, life challenges)

Specialist support relating to domestic abuse and trauma
-
Psychoeducation and emotional support
-
Online and telephone sessions (with potential for walk-and-talk sessions where agreed)
All services are delivered in a professional, ethical, and confidential manner in line with recognised counselling standards.
3. Booking Terms

All enquiries are intended to receive a response within 2 working days.

A booking is not confirmed until you receive confirmation from Forward 2 Freedom.

Session times are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Clients are responsible for ensuring their availability before confirming a session.
4. Contract Agreement
By booking and attending sessions, you agree to enter into a therapeutic contract which includes:

Attending sessions at agreed times
-
Engaging respectfully in the therapeutic process
-
Taking responsibility for your own wellbeing outside of sessions
-
Understanding that counselling is a collaborative process and outcomes cannot be guaranteed
This agreement may be reviewed and adapted where appropriate throughout the course of therapy.
5. Fees & Payment

Session fees will be clearly communicated prior to booking
-
Payment terms (e.g. upfront, 24 hours before, or on the day) will be agreed in advance

Failure to make payment may result in cancellation of the session
6. Cancellation & Missed Appointments
-
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session
-
Late cancellations or missed sessions may be charged at the full session rate
-
Exceptions may be considered at the therapist’s discretion in exceptional circumstances
7. Right to Refusal
Forward 2 Freedom reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services without prejudice.
This may include (but is not limited to):

Situations where the service is not clinically appropriate
-
Conflicts of interest
-
Concerns regarding safety, boundaries, or ethical practice
Where possible, alternative support options or signposting will be offered.
8. Confidentiality
All sessions are confidential, with the following legal and ethical exceptions:

Risk of serious harm to yourself or others

Safeguarding concerns involving children or vulnerable adults
-
Legal obligations (e.g. court orders)
Confidentiality and its limits will be discussed at the start of the working relationship.
9. Data Protection (GDPR)

Personal data is collected and stored securely in accordance with UK GDPR

Information is used solely for the purpose of providing counselling services

You have the right to access your data upon request

10. Client Responsibility
Clients acknowledge that:

Counselling can involve exploring difficult emotions

Progress requires active participation and honesty

Forward 2 Freedom is not responsible for decisions made outside of sessions
11. Communication Between Sessions

Communication outside of sessions is limited to administrative purposes (e.g. bookings)
-
Therapeutic support is not provided via email or message unless explicitly agreed
-
In a crisis, clients should contact appropriate emergency or support services
12. Complaints Procedure
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the service:

Raise the concern directly with Forward 2 Freedom where possible

Efforts will be made to resolve the issue promptly and respectfully
13. Changes to Terms
Forward 2 Freedom reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be informed of any significant changes.
14. Acceptance of Terms
By booking and attending sessions, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
